Fairfield Concert Association opens up their 2015-16 Season with BRASSFIRE, featuring trumpeter Jens Lindemann and his trio. Lindemann, former lead trumpet of the Canadian Brass, has been hailed as one of the most celebrated trumpet soloists in the instrument's history and was recently named "International Brass Personality of the Year." Jen has played in every major concert venue in the world, from the Philharmonics of New York, Los Angeles, London and Berlin to Tokoyo and the Great Wall of China, playing exclusively on 24K gold plated trumpets. A prodigious talent as a child, Lindemann began winning accolades as soloist with orchestras and festivals while still in his teens. Classically trained at the renowned Juilliard School in New York, Jens has the proven ability to perform in diverse situations from his solo work to this touring quartet. He has recorded for BMG, EMI, CBC and the BBC. Born in Germany, but now a resident of Los Angeles, Jens is internationally endorsed by the Yamaha Corporation and performs exclusively on 24K gold plated trumpets.
