Join the Henry County Farm Bureau as we celebrate National Ag Week with our first annual Supermarket Sweep Competition! We are looking for local businesses to enter teams of 3 to participate in a collecting grocery items to donate. The goal is to see which team can come closest to collecting $250 (either over or under) worth of groceries in just 5 minutes! The food collected will then be donated to The Fellowship Cup. Teams are encouraged to decorate their carts, wear matching shirts, etc. The only cost to participate in this event is what your team collects in groceries. A trophy will be presented to the winning team and a certificate to our "Greatest Grabber" and "Best Decorated Cart." This will be held on Friday, March 24th at Hy-Vee in Mount Pleasant. Check in begins at 8:00 a.m. (this is the time where you can decorate your cart!) with the first heat beginning at 9:00 a.m. We will also be having KILJ on site to interview participants.
