On April 4, 1967, Martin Luther King addressed the Riverside Church in New York City. Titled “Beyond Vietnam,” it was his first major speech on the war in Vietnam—what the Vietnamese aptly call the American War. King linked the escalating U.S. commitment to that war with its abandonment of the commitment to social justice at home. Join us on May 22nd at 6:30 PM when we will listen to the speech and then have a community discussion on its relevance in today’s world
