Exploring History in the Cemetery
Cemeteries are rich with history, especially Henry County cemeteries! Session 1 [in the classroom] will be devoted to the organization of cemeteries, grave marker styles and symbolism. Henry County cemeteries and locations will be discussed, with emphasis on veterans buried in those cemeteries. A power point presentation will be shown and handouts provided. Session 2 features a walking tour of Forest Home Cemetery, with the opportunity to experience “witching”. Session 2 will probably start earlier.
4 Hours - $25 – Pat White, with Dave and Mona Gates
